Motorcyclist suffers minor injuries in Butler Township crash
BUTLER TWP — A male motorcyclist suffered minor injuries when a Chevrolet Equinox crashed into his vehicle while turning left into the Bon Aire Plaza at around 3:20 p.m. Monday.
Butler Township police said the motorcyclist and the driver of the Equinox, also a male, refused medical transport.
Police said the motorcyclist was heading north on Route 8 near Bon Aire Plaza when the Equinox, which was traveling southbound, turned left into the parking lot, causing the motorcycle to strike the right side of the vehicle.
The motorcycle and the Equinox both sustained minor damage in the crash. The motorcycle had to be transported by truck away from the scene. Police closed the median near the parking lot entrance while cleaning up the scene. The median was reopened around 3:45 p.m.
Butler Township Volunteer Fire District and Butler Ambulance Service also responded to the crash.
