Ex-Butler runners shine for W&J
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Butler graduates and current Washington & Jefferson College cross country runners Aden Dressler and Raine Gratzmiller fared well at the recent W&J Invitational.
Dressler, a junior, finished second overall with a time of 17 minutes, 11.54 seconds. Gratzmiller, a freshman, was 10th in 18:10.34 and was named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.
Butler grad Lucas solid in defeat
MEADVILLE — Butler graduate Gabby Lucas, a junior on the Grove City College women’s volleyball team, registered a team-high 17 digs in the Wolverines’ 3-1 loss to Allegheny Wednesday night.
Grove City will plat three matches this weekend at the Penn State Behrend Invitational in Erie.
Chicora’s Callihan scores racing win
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Suits Me, trained by Susan Callihan of Chicora, won a $9,900 Conditioned Pace during harness racing action Wednesday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Callihan and theee other Chiciora residents — Greg Callihan, Nichole Setzenfand and Amber Setzenfand — own the 3-year-old gelding.
