Sentence court

The following defendants were sentenced Thursday in Butler County Common Pleas Court by Judge Timothy McCune.

Jacob Scott Ellenberger, 27, of Chicora, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of simple assault. The case was filed by state police following a Dec. 5, 2021, incident.

Daryl Marshall Butler, 66, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and complete 30 hours of community service after pleading no contest to a charge of statement under penalty. The case filed by state police following a June 6, 2020, incident.

Ryan Alexander Glagola, 30, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 6 to 12 months in prison, but was immediately paroled to serve house arrest followed by 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and retail theft. The case was filed by Butler Township police following a March 22, 2022, incident.

Courtney Petrishen, 33, of Brackenridge, Allegheny County, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 50 hours of community service after pleading guilty to charges of driving under the influence and recklessly endangering another person. The case was filed by state police following a May 8, 2021, incident.

Jessica Glancy Spaley, 41, of Cranberry Township, was fined $500 and ordered to pay $36.25 in restitution to Walmart after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft. The case was filed by Cranberry Township police following a Nov. 7, 2021, incident.

Wendy Mishelle Wiggins, 36, of Franklin, Venango County, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation, pay fines totaling $500. and pay $4.86 in restitution to Walmart after pleading guilty to charges of retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. The case was filed by Cranberry Township police following a June 4, 2021, incident.

Stephen Anthony Winstead, 23, of Washington, Washington County, was sentenced to 36 months of probation after pleading guilty to charges of firearms not to be carried without a license and terroristic threats. The case was filed by Butler Township police following an Aug. 16, 2021, incident.

Mathilda Rose Gaertner, 21, of Gibsonia, Allegheny County, was sentenced to serve six months of probation including seven days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 20 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following a Jan. 25, 2020, incident.

Justin Raymond Dailey, 22, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 36 months of probation and pay $550 in restitution after pleading guilty to charges of receiving stolen property and firearms not to be carried without a license. The case was filed by Butler Township police following a July 6, 2021, incident.

John William Brown, 63, of Valencia, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in prison, but was immediately paroled and to serve six months of probation, pay a $1,100 fine and complete 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to charges of DUI and accidents involving damage to property. The case was filed by Adams Township police following a March 17, 2022, incident.

Salvador David Canizares, 38, of Mars, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft filed by Cranberry Township police following an Aug. 10,2021, incident.

Melissa Nicole Orstead, 34, of Lyndora, was sentenced to serve 36 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft filed by Butler Township police following a June 2, 2022, incident.

Dennis Robert John Jr., 47, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 9 to 60 months in state prison followed by six months of probation and pay fines totaling $3,100 after pleading guilty to two charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. The case was filed in three separate cases by Butler Township police and state police following incidents in September 2021.

Colleen L. Christie, 52, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation, complete 25 hours of community service, pay $268.61 in restitution to Walmart and complete the retail theft offender program after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft. The case was filed by Butler Township police following a Dec. 24, 2021, incident.

Kyle P. Franklin, 26, of Butler, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI. The case was filed by state police following a Dec. 20, 2021, incident.

Nicholas William Gentry, 26, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation, pay a $250 fine, complete 25 hours of community service and pay $200 in restitution to Butler Township police after pleading guilty to charges of simple assault and resisting arrest. The case was filed by Butler Township police following a July 23, 2021, incident.

Jarrod Nicholas Warner, 42, of Hilliards, was sentenced to serve six months of probation followed by six months of house arrest and pay a $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of driving with a suspended license. The case was filed by Butler Township police following a Dec. 18, 2021, incident.

Douglas Edward Frishkorn, 44, of Fenelton, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, including seven days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 25 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI. The case was filed by Jackson Township police following a Jan. 18, 2020, incident.

Joshua M. Tierno, 37, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 30 months of probation, including five months of house arrest, pay fines totaling $450 after pleading guilty to charges of simple assault, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. The case was filed by state and Butler City police in four separate cases in 2021 and 2019.

Nicholas Duwayne McCloskey, 44, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 48 months of probation after pleading guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. The case was filed by Butler Township police following a Feb. 18, 2021, incident.

Erica Fraser, 46, of Turtle Creek, Allegheny County, was sentenced to serve 6 to 12 months in prison, but was immediately paroled to serve 12 months of probation and pay $179.98 in restitution to Marshalls after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft filed by Cranberry Township police following an Aug. 10, 2020, incident.
