Vera M. Edinboro, 89, of West Sunbury, passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at Sarah Reed Retirement Center in Erie.

Born on Dec. 23, 1932, at the family farm in Concord Township, Vera was the daughter of the late Richard James Campbell and the late Viletta V. (Stamm) Campbell.

Vera was a former member of the West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church.

She had worked at the Spade Shirt Factory, G.C. Murphy, and retired from Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV in Grove City as a teacher’s aide.

Vera is survived by her husband, Leslie F. Edinboro, whom she married on Sept. 16, 1953; one daughter, Barbara Mae Davis of Edinboro; one son, Leslie E. (Trish) Edinboro of Glen Allen, Va.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Kenneth D. (Helen) Edinboro of West Sunbury; and several nieces and nephews.

Vera was preceded in death by two sisters; six brothers; and one son-in-law, Duane Davis.

EDINBORO — Family and friends of Vera M. Edinboro, who died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Karen Thompson, Vera’s niece officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 143, West Sunbury, PA 16061.
