William Graham

Graham

William A. “Bill” Graham, 85, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Grove City, passed peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022.

He was the beloved husband of Lois Jean (Painter) Graham for 64 years.

He was the cherished son of the late William “Bud” and Margaret (Lightner) Graham.

He was the loving father of his three children, Mitch (Karen) Graham, Mike Graham and Janene (David) DiSanti.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving sisters and family, Barbara (Graham) Royle and her husband, Edward Royle; Kay (Graham) Cunningham and her husband, Larry “Joe,” Cunningham; his infant sister, Carol May Graham; and his daughter-in-law, Skye (Lawson) Graham.

He was the proud “Grandpa” of his seven grandchildren, Zachary, Josh, Rachel, Aubrey, Melissa, Emily and Olivia. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served from 1955 until 1957 in the Army band.

He was employed by Mellon Bank for over 34 years, starting as a teller and retiring as a retail lending officer in 1995.

Bill formerly was a member of Tower Presbyterian Church in Grove City, and, most recently, Slippery Rock United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed gardening and being with his dog, Holly. He was an avid outdoorsman and belonged to the Wilmer Lodge in Benezette.

Bill could always light up a room with his contagious smile and incredible sense of humor. He loved music — you could hear him whistling or singing. He loved the latest gadgets and always wanted the latest technology, but he could never send a single text message.

Bill was loved and cherished by everyone and will be missed terribly.
