Butler woman missing, search party organized in Allegheny County
A 59 year-old Butler native was reported missing from her home in Frazer Township, Allegheny County, last month. A homicide investigation was launched, and a search party will set out for answers Saturday, Oct. 8.
Darlene Harbison, who graduated from Butler Area High School, last was seen Sept. 11. After returning home from a camping trip with her daughter, she was unable to be reached.
Harbison’s mother, Charlotte Ruedinger, of Herman, said Harbison’s daughter asked police to do a welfare check on her Sept. 11.
According to Frazer Township police, Harbison’s disappearance is being investigated by Allegheny County homicide detectives after the welfare check raised concern.
