A missing man from Harmony was found dead in the Allegheny River on Saturday, Oct. 8, in the afternoon.

At around 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Pittsburgh police were dispatched to the North Shore Riverwalk near the Mister Rogers statue for reports of a vehicle submerged in the Allegheny River with the body of a male inside.
A film crew from the YouTube show “Adventures with Purpose,” based in Oregon, notified Pittsburgh River Rescue after discovering the vehicle about 16 feet underwater and about 30 yards from the river bank.
The Pittsburgh River Rescue, police and firefighters worked with the film crew and the Chaos Divers, another volunteer group, to remove the vehicle from the water, according to a news release from Pittsburgh Public Safety.
DiMinno, owner of the Harmony Emporium in Harmony, was last seen Wednesday, Sept. 28, in Harmony and was reported missing two days later.
Recovery crews unearthed DiMinno’s car while searching for Bunnie Lee and Janet Walsh, whom authorities had also declared missing in 2013 and early 2020, respectively.
Sonar scanning revealed the section of river the crews searched included over 100 submerged vehicles. Divers learned the first vehicle they had pinpointed for inspection looked new and contained a body.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner has not yet determined a cause or manner of death, according to Bret Myers, a Zelienople police officer.
