American for Prosperity-Pennsylvania will be giving away 200 grocery store gift cards each totaling $52.93 on Thursday as part of the organization’s nationwide True Cost of Washington Campaign.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sprankle's Neighborhood Market in Saxonburg, and the gift cards will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each gift card is meant to represent the average cost of a half a week’s inflation for American families.

U.S Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th, will talk to constituents at the event about some of the factors that make everything from groceries to gasoline more expensive.
