McCalip

Gregory W. McCalip, 62, of Butler, passed away suddenly on Oct. 11, 2022, at his home.

Born Sept. 30, 1960, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of David McCalip and Joanne Munro McCalip.

Greg was a self-employed carpenter.

He was the president of the PA Freestyle Ski Association and a former coach in the Knoch Area Soccer Association, and he assisted coaching in the Saxonburg Area Baseball Association.

Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and the country life. Greg was a great family man and was loved by many friends.

Surviving are his wife, Wendy (Appman) McCalip, whom he married Aug. 28, 1991; his children, Melanie, Jessica and Chance; and his sister, Alane (Steve) Malerick of Hudson, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

MCCALIP — Friends of Gregory W. McCalip, who died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Roddy officiating.

Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to PA Freestyle Ski Association, Knoch Area Soccer Association or the Saxonburg Area Baseball Association.
