KC raises money for principal, cancer institute
At the Karns City high school football game Friday night, students and fans wore shirts that said “Knoll Strong” in support of their principal undergoing cancer treatment, Brenda Knoll.
The proceeds from the almost 600 shirts sold totaled $5,000, which was recognized at the “pink out” football game.
Half of the funds will benefit Knoll and the other half will be donated to the Magee-Womens Research Institute, according to Bob Hackbarth, treasurer of the boosters organization, the Karns City Gremlin Quarterback Club.
