A scammer is trying to elicit payment from vendors who may be interested in selling their wares at the Nov. 12 Knoch Craft Show.

The Knoch Knights Girls Basketball Boosters are warning all vendors that the scammer used information from the registration form to create a scam in which vendors are asked to pay for their spot at the show on PayPal.

Boosters officials said all vendors paid by check, and that all spots are full for the popular craft show.

Shannon McGraw, craft show coordinator, said state police have confirmed the scam and recommend that any vendors who fell for the scheme try and stop the payment on PayPal.
