Prison board approves inmate contract with Franklin County
Another county will be able to send some of its prison inmates to the Butler County Prison.
The prison board on Tuesday approved an agreement to accept inmates from Franklin County, making it the sixth county to have agreements to send inmates to the county prison in Butler.
Warden Joe DeMore said Franklin County, like the other counties, will pay $60 a day per inmate to house their inmates in the county lock-up.
The other counties are Allegheny, Armstrong, Clinton, Venango and Potter.
