Winter Weather advisoryWEB graphic

Slippery Rock Area School District, Slippery Rock University and Portersville Christian School will operate on two hour delays Wednesday morning due to snowy road conditions, according to their websites and social media.

Slippery Rock Area School District noted that if further adjustments were needed, parents would be informed.

According to a Facebook post, students and faculty at SRU were instructed to use the compressed class schedule available at www.sru.edu/weather. University offices will open at 10 a.m. and university police, dining halls and health services will operate as scheduled.

According to the National Weather Service of Pittsburgh, a daytime accumulation of snow is expected to reach half an inch. Temperatures are predicted to rise to 43 degrees later in the day, but the county will operate under a freeze watch from 11 p.m. until early Thursday morning.
