Freeport graduate keys volleyball win

NEW WILMINGTON — Freeport graduate Lauren Lampus tallied 11 kills, 20 digs and three serving aces Saturday in leading the Westminster College women’s volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Franciscan.

It was the third win in the last four matches for Westminster (5-24, 3-7).

Mars grad Coffield scores in shootout

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Mars graduate Ellie Coffield scored one of Pitt’s four penalty-kick shootout tallies Sunday at Notre Dame, but the 19th-ranked Panther women’s soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision in their ACC Tournament game.

Coffield had two shots on net for Pitt (12-4-3).
