Yough

Dennis J. Yough, 80, of “Snowhill” Chicora, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at Quality Life Services-Sugarcreek in Worthington.

He was born on April 19, 1942, in Karns City, to Francis Eugene and Alberta “Boots” (Mortimer) Yough.

Dennis graduated from East Brady High School.

He retired from Witco Chemical Corporation in 2001 after 35 years of service. He previously was employed by Lewis Dairy Farm on Snowhill, Harry Schultz Excavating and Rex-Hide.

He loved hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and golfing with his brother, Gary, and friends. Dennis enjoyed taking care of his lawn and helping his kids.

His memory will be cherished by his sons, Wesley J. Yough and wife Diana, of East Brady, Robert L. Yough and wife Rebecca, of Chicora, Jeffry D. Yough and wife Tammy, of Hillsboro, Ky., and John E. Yough and wife Maria “Carmen,” of Buckeye, Ariz.; his stepson, Barry Summerville and wife Lori, of Chicora; his grandchildren, Jennifer Stevenson and husband, Craig, Jimmy Yough and wife, Cassie, Kayla Carmichael and husband Chad, JR Yough and fiancée Cadielynne, and Carissa Yough; his stepgrandchildren, Katelyn, Curt, John and Bill Summerville; five great-grandchildren and one due in March; and his sisters, Darla Fennell of Chicora, Beverly King and husband Chuck, of Chicora, and Rita Cumberland of Butler.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Carol (Downing) Summerville Yough, whom he married on Aug. 18, 1995, and who passed away on Nov. 27, 2001; his stepson, Michael Summerville; his stepgrandson, Corey Summerville; his brothers, Eugene Yough and Gary D. Yough; an infant son, Robert Yough; his sister, Donna Edwards; and an infant sister, Marilyn Yough.

YOUGH — Services will be private for Dennis J. Yough, who died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022.

Arrangements are being handled by BAUER-HILLIS FUNERAL HOME.
