Norma W. English, 82, of Baden, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born March 12, 1940, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Elmore Walker and Ethel Martha Kuschel Walker.

Norma was a graduate of Evans City High School and earned her B.S. degree in biology at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.

She was employed at Shadyside Hospital and Children’s Hospital. She also was employed by the DER as a water specialist, and at Cranberry Beer Distributor.

Norma loved cards and played with the same girlfriends for more than 40 years. She loved traveling. She enjoyed her cabin at Seven Springs, where she would go downhill skiing. She was a stunning hostess and cook, and will long be remembered for having the best laugh ever. Norma will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Norma leaves behind to cherish her memory her siblings, Richard (Cheryl) Walker of Titusville, Robert (Wendy) Walker of Zelienople and David (Sherry) Walker of Cranberry Township; her sister-in-law, Sylvia Harris; and 17 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clyde Lenley English, who passed away on June 5, 2020; and her brother, James Walker.

ENGLISH — Friends of Norma W. English, who died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. Tuesday at BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township, with Pastor Derek Howell officiating.

Norma will be laid to rest at St. John’s of Lovi Cemetery.

Memorials in honor of Norma may be made to St. John’s Lovi Church, 1001 Freedom Road, Cranberry Township, where she was a lifelong member.
