Flapjacks flipped at Tanglewood on Election Day
The 63rd annual Pancake Festival for Lifesteps, hosted in partnership with the Rotary Club of Butler, saw a steady stream of customers Tuesday morning, many of whom sported “I voted” stickers on their purses and lapels.
The Election Day staple in Butler County offered pancakes, sausage and a beverage up until 7 p.m. at the Tanglewood Center, off Fairground Hill Road in Butler.
Those who plunked down $8 for the hearty meal also could bid on several raffle baskets, which included fall-themed items, a full set of Cuisinart cookware, children’s items, jewelry, dinner at a local steakhouse and more.
A bake sale table allowed diners to scoop up some take-home treats to munch as they watched election returns.
Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit Lifesteps in Butler.
