Butler named a top small town to visit
Only In Your State, a travel and culture website with writers in all 50 states, has named Butler one of the country’s best small towns to visit this year.
“Embrace the charm of yesteryear and small-town friendliness when you visit historic downtown Butler in Western Pennsylvania, a darling town with a population of just over 13,000,” the website states in its announcement article.
Only In Your State called Butler a hidden gem that is brimming with activities, including Moraine State Park recreation, various hiking trails, the relaxed pace of Butler’s Main Street, Bantam Heritage Jeep Festival, Fairy Door Trail, and various restaurants on Main Street.
Jordan Grady, president of the Butler County Chamber of Commerce, was not surprised Butler received the honor.
“I think it’s great for Butler,” Grady said. “In a world of nothing but negativity, this shines a very positive light on the progress being made on Main Street.”
He hopes the recognition will bring an influx of visitors to the city and county for the holiday season.
“The chamber is excited to be on Main Street and to be a part of this vibrant community,” Grady said.
