Robert G. “Bob” Jamison, 95, of Butler, formerly of Renfrew, passed away on Nov. 13, 2022, at Newhaven Court.

He was born March 12, 1927, in Meridian, and was the son of the late Thomas Harrison Jamison and the late Catherine Saunders Jamison.

Bob retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years from 1945 to 1966. He then went to work for Warehouse Electrical Supply for 15 years, retiring in 1981.

Bob was a member of White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, where he served as a trustee. He was a member of the State American Legion 945. Bob also enjoyed gardening and raising livestock.

Bob is survived by his five sons, Robert G. (Katie) Jamison of Evans City, Thomas D. (Maggie) Jamison of Lebanon, Pa., R. Bryan (Michelle) Jamison of Ross Township, Scott R. (Carol) Jamison of Evans City, and Michael (Amber) Jamison of Prospect; two daughters, Linda D. (Randy) Carpenter of Fairborn, Ohio, and Carol L. (Lee) Dreyer of Butler; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne M. Jamison, whom he married on June 24, 1954, and who passed away on Sept. 9, 2017; four sisters; one brother; and one nephew.

JAMISON — Friends of Robert G. “Bob” Jamison, who died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Merry Meloy officiating.

Burial will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Memorials are suggested to the White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, 102 Shannon Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
