State police are investigating the burglary of a Prospect church and what they allege is the theft of a vehicle, according to a news release.

Officials at Mt. Zion Baptist Church contacted police around 9:43 p.m. Tuesday to report someone entering the church through an unlocked window. The individual took the church van keys and drove the vehicle away.

Police described the 2008 white Chevrolet express van to be full size, with “Mt. Zion Baptist Church” written on the side and back.
