Seven Butler County projects will receive more than $3.5 million in grant funding from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.

The grants, announced Friday, are made for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.

Grants awarded in Butler County include:

The Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau received $475,000 to acquire land for its proposed Born and Built in Butler museum. The bureau had requested $1,250,000.

Butler Technologies is receiving $500,000 for a manufacturing facility expansion. The business had requested $1 million.

Cranberry Township received $1,250,000 for its township municipal building’s expansion and modernization. The project will feature facade improvements to the front, rear and side entrance of the Municipal Center. The business received the entire amount requested.

Pittsburgh Community Rink Operating LP received $500,000 for the expansion of the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. The amount requested was $5 million.

The Community Development Corporation of Butler County received $811,250 for phase 2 of the Harmony Fire District construction project. The CDC received the entire amount requested.

The Buncher Company received $1 million for Jackson’s Pointe Phase 1A, a project to expand the company's presence in the area through the development of a mixed-use facility, including manufacturing and distribution space, and research and development space. The business had requested $2 million.

The Slippery Rock University Foundation received $850,000 for the ROTC Police Station Facility, which will consolidate the ROTC into a single location at Slippery Rock University. The foundation had requested $1.5 million.
