Construction vehicles are in place at the McCalmont Road Bridge spanning Connoquenessing Creek in Butler Township. The bridge is being replaced as part of the state’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Work began on Monday, March 6, 2017, and is expected to be completed by mid-April. Corbett M. Stewart, 75, of Butler Township had an apparent fatal heart attack before crashing his SUV into a utility pole in Butler on Monday, March 6, 2017, according to city police. He was pronounced dead at Butler Memorial Hospital.Joe Genco/Butler Eagle
