The Butler County Symphony Association’s “Holiday Traditions” concert will bring live singing to families for the holiday season at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. The event will include a singalong, Santa Claus and of other holiday favorites.

The event will kick off at the Butler Intermediate School Auditorium, 551 Fairground Hill Road, Butler Township and will feature performances by Kevin Glavin as bass-baritione, Sarah Bishop as soprano and Jacob Joyce as guest conductor.

Guests can purchase tickets in advance at rates of $30 for adults or $10 for students or children. Tickets will be for sale at $35 for adults and $12 for children or students at the door. Discounts may be available for groups.

Glavin is an international opera singer known to Pittsburgh audiences for performing for many years as Santa, alongside Marvin Hamlisch, at the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Bishop, a Butler native, has sung and performed professionally in New York City, Seattle and other major cities.

Joyce serves as the assistant conductor for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, resident conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and music director of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra.
