Authority to get $200K in funding for owner-occupied housing
The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler will receive $200,000 in funds for existing owner-occupied housing.
The authority program helps homeowners who meet certain income criteria make repairs or replacements in their homes that they would otherwise not be able to afford.
More than $10 million in funding from the state HOME Investment Partnerships Program will be distributed in 16 counties.
“Pennsylvanians deserve safe, up-to-code, and accessible spaces to call home,” said Gov. Tom Wolf in a news release.
HOME is a federally funded program that provides municipalities with grant and loan assistance to expand and preserve the supply of decent and affordable housing for low- and very low-income residents.
