Police call off search for Armstrong County girl
Police in an Armstrong County community have called off the search for a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing Thursday.
On Friday, Manor Township police said the search for Haley Kreider has been called off because new information eliminates the need for a search. The girl also is known as Cameron, police said.
Police said they will provide an update on the girl and asked potential volunteer searchers to stand by and not call the police station or 911. Police thanked the volunteers for their support.
Numerous Armstrong County police and fire departments searched Thursday on foot and by air several miles of wooded areas including waterways where the girl was last seen. Police said thermal imaging drones and other technology were used in the search.
