Kim Mead, Kittanning Police via Facebook

The body of Kim Mead, 51, of Kittanning, Armstrong County, who was last seen Friday in Kittanning, was found Sunday, Dec. 18, in Harrison Township, Allegheny County.

Allegheny County police said Mead’s body was found just before 3 p.m. along the bank of the Allegheny River in the township. She was pronounced dead at the scene just before 4 p.m. by the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office. Allegheny County police are investigating.

Mead was last seen walking south in the 1400 block of Orr Avenue at about 6:39 a.m. Friday, according to Kittanning police. She was wearing a zip-up gray hoodie and possibly black yoga pants.

Police asked residents that have Ring cameras or porch cameras to check their cameras in an effort to help track Mead.
