Mildred Brandstetter

Mildred Yerger Brandstetter, 93, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, following a brief illness.

Born in Cranberry Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret Barker Yerger.

On June 2, 1949, Mildred married Robert Henry Brandstetter. She was his beloved and devoted wife until his passing on Sept. 25, 1982.

Following a lengthy career with the Society of Automotive Engineers, Mildred retired as a mailroom clerk.

Having spent her life in Zelienople, she moved to the Myrtle Beach area in 1992 after her retirement.

Mildred was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Surfside.

Although she loved reading and fishing, her greatest time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Robert Kuzma; her grandchildren, Deanna (Daniel) Flynn, Lindsay Crowther, Jessica Bennett (Benny Haft), Bobby Kuzma, Jamie Bennett (Dustin Staab); five great-grandchildren, Dylan and Jace Crowther, Nicolas “Nico” Flynn, and Heidi and Henry Staab; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rose Marie Brandstetter; her loving daughter, Robin Bennett; her dear sister, Helen Yerger McKean; and her brothers, George Yerger and William Yerger.

The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society, Lung Cancer Research, or Lower Cape Fear Life Care Hospice.
