Wind chill watch issued for holiday weekend
The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh has issued a wind chill watch for Butler County and surrounding regions.
The watch will be in effect from 3 a.m. Friday until 7 p.m. Saturday, with possible winds of 40 to 50 mph producing a wind chill of 20 degrees below zero .
Temperatures could feel as low as -35 degrees with gusts approaching 50 mph. Residents are asked to take precautions against hypothermia and frostbite with proper attire.
