Security guard at Seneca Valley High School charged with having nude photos of student
An Allegheny County man who worked for a private security company at Seneca Valley High School last year is facing dozens of felony charges from Cranberry Township police, who say he possessed and shared nude photos of a female student.
Matthew A. Cowan, 24, of Brackenridge, is facing 14 charges of child pornography, 20 charges of disseminating photos of child sex acts and 20 charges of criminal use of a communication facility.
The female student, who was between 16 and 17 years old, told police she sent nude and sexually explicit photos to Cowan for about eight months before the beginning of the 2021 school year, according to an affidavit. Cowan worked at the high school for Securitas Security Services USA, which provided security at the Seneca Valley campus in the township, police said.
