VIDEO: Pittsburgh Steelers retire late Franco Harris’s #32
In 1972, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Franco Harris coined one of the most famous plays in all of NFL history, the Immaculate Reception. On it’s 50th anniversary, the Steelers and Franco Harris planned a halftime celebration of the play where Harris’s number would be retired. Franco Harris unfortunately passed just days before the anniversary.
During halftime of the Christmas Eve game, the Pittsburgh Steelers celebrated the life of the late Franco Harris and officially retired the number 32 from the team. Watch submitted video of the halftime ceremony below.
