Donald E. Hunt, 70, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022, at his home.

He was born June 26, 1952, in Meadville, and was a son of the late Donald Hunt and Mildred (Gillette) Hunt.

He was a graduate of Moniteau High School, and was retired from Campbell’s Asphalt.

He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Butler and the Silver Sneakers at the YMCA. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and watching football. He was an avid woodworker, and he loved to read his Bible and spend time with his dog.

Surviving are his brothers, Cliff (Arlene) Hunt and David (Frankie) Hunt; one sister, Christine (Michael) Riding; a son, Bobby (Lisa) Hunt; his stepchildren, Thomas (Jackie) Brown, Candace (Dirk) Rikal and Tabatha (Gary Double) Brown; a sister-in-law, Sandra (Robert) Kudelka; his dog, Jax; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Hunt, who passed away Oct. 4, 2002.

HUNT — Friends of Donald E. Hunt, who died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Brian Lott will officiate.

Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Coylesville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Testament Baptist Church or to Center City Baptist Church.
