102 cadets graduate from state police academy

Four of the 102 cadets who recently graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy will be welcomed into Troop D, which encompasses Butler County and surrounding areas.

Anthony D. Bertoluzzi, Joseph J. Daransky and Andrew J. Dindinger will report to Troop D in Kittanning while Vincent G. Buonpane will report to Troop D in New Castle.

“I ask you to never compromise yourself or your fellow troopers, and always maintain your honor and integrity,” State police commissioner, Col. Robert Evanchick said. “I have full faith in your abilities and devotion to protect and serve the residents and visitors of this commonwealth.”

The class was the 165th to graduate from the academy in Hershey since it opened in 1960.

The new troopers will report to their respective stations on Jan. 3.
