Author of Holocaust story coming to Cranberry
Local author Lee Goldman Kikel will discuss her book “Perseverance: One Holocaust Survivor’s Journey from Poland to America” during a free event at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Cranberry Public Library.
The book tells the story of Kikel's father, Melvin Goldman, and his survival of the Holocaust. The book is told in Goldman’s words left on audio recordings he made in the 1970s, and is supplemented by Kikel’s memories.
According to a news release from the Cranberry Public Library, it scheduled the author to visit in recognition of Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is on Friday, Jan. 27.
