Artificial turf being installed at Knoch Athletic Stadium
Installers are working to place the artificial turf atop the field at Knoch Athletic Stadium.
The surface will be the district’s first experience with artificial turf.
The work is part of a $35 million renovation project at Knoch High School and the athletic stadium.
In addition to the new turf, the stadium will get a new track surface, improved track and field practice areas in the end zones, upgraded fencing around the stadium, new blacktop around the ticket booth, and upgrades to the curbs and sidewalks around the stadium.
Superintendent David Foley said at Monday’s school board meeting the turf field should be complete in 10 days or so.
