Police Reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

Cranberry Twp

Jan. 3 — Stephen P. Vine, 29, and Michelle L. Turner, 42, both of Butler, were charged in two retail thefts. Police say they left Walmart on Oct. 21 with $179 worth of merchandise and on Oct. 22 with $562 worth of merchandise without paying for it. Vine was charged with felonies trespassing, conspiracy and retail theft in both cases. Turner was charged with felony trespass and misdemeanor conspiracy and retail theft in both cases.

Jan. 3 — Edward Witrosky, 53, of Natrona Heights, and Richard J. Monz, 60, of Greensburg, were charged after police said they left Lowe’s with $343 worth of merchandise without paying for it. Witrosky was charged with two counts of felony conspiracy and two counts of felony theft. Monz was charged with two counts each of misdemeanors conspiracy and theft.

Butler City

Dec. 28 — Matthew A. Wolfe, 40, of Connoquenessing, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault. Police said he ran over someone’s foot with his vehicle.

Butler Twp

Dec. 29 — April E. Summerville, 32, and Tracy L. Weitzel, 45, both of Butler, were charged in three retail thefts. Police say they left Walmart on July 29 with $310 worth of merchandise, on Aug. 11 with $69 worth of merchandise and on Aug. 31 with $65 worth of merchandise. Summerville was charged with felony conspiracy and misdemeanor theft. Weitzel was charged with felonies conspiracy and theft.

State police, Butler

Dec. 28 — Sara I. McKee, 34, of Leechburg, was charged with misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they stopped McKee on July 27, 2021, on South Pike Road, Buffalo Township, and that methamphetamine and cocaine were found in McKee’s vehicle.

State police, Kittanning

Dec. 28 — Anthony V.B. Harbison, 44, of Cabot, was charged with two misdemeanors of driving under the influence. Police said they stopped him Nov. 12 on Route 28, Buffalo Township, and that field sobriety tests showed he was impaired. A breath test showed Harbison’s blood-alcohol content at 0.173%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Dec. 28 — Dawand L. Hudson, 28, of Pittsburgh, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor drug possession. Police said they stopped him Nov. 3 on Route 28, Buffalo Township, and that two ounces of marijuana were found in Hudson’s vehicle.

Dec. 28 — Cheryl A. Garvin, 63, of Cabot, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs and several traffic citations. Police said they stopped Garvin on Dec. 16 on Sarver Road, Winfield Township, and that she showed signs of impairment, and a breath test showed positive for alcohol.
