Robert William Ziegler, 80, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Feb. 8, 1942, in Lawrenceville, he was the son of the late Henry and Margaret Ziegler.

Robert was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and the life they gave him. He was full of wisdom and served as a mentor and role model to the people who knew him.

He enjoyed music, sports, traveling and woodworking, but most of all, his life adventure with his wife of 58 years. He will be deeply missed, but will remain in our hearts and memories forever.

Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Donna Smith, Patricia (Patrick) Krokonko and Beth (Bill) Johns; his brothers, James (Kathy) Ziegler and Tom (Sue) Ziegler; his sister-in-law, Barb Ziegler; his grandchildren, Heather Pruit, Aaron Smith, Kristina Krokonko, Johnathan Krokonko, Megan Johns and Lindsey Johns; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Ziegler; his son, Kevin Ziegler; and his brother, Ronald Ziegler.

ZIEGLER — Friends of Robert William Ziegler, who died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.

Additional visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Robert will be laid to rest with military honors at Oak Grove Cemetery in Freedom.
