Fire on Ferguson Avenue quickly extinguished
BUTLER TWP — A house fire on Ferguson Avenue Friday was quickly extinguished by police upon their arrival.
Crews responded to 212 Ferguson Ave., at about 8 p.m. Friday to reports of smoke coming from the residence.
The fire was contained to the stove and quickly extinguished by responding township police officers, according to Butler Township Volunteer Fire Department members on scene.
Firefighters remained on scene to run fans to rid the house of smoke.
No one was injured as a result of the fire, which was reported by a neighbor, according to 911 dispatchers.
No one was home at the time of the incident.
Butler Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
