Police Reports
The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:
Jan. 1 — Aaron L. Speed Jr., 18 and Tamara Speed, 40, both of Butler, were charged with misdemeanor simple assault. Police said Aaron held a someone in a headlock while Tamara punched them.
Jan. 5 — Riley Hunt, 24, of New Castle, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he left Lowe’s with $439 worth of merchandise without paying for it.
Dec. 31 — Keira A. Sporny, 18, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said she threw a candy jar and candle at the heads of two people.
Dec. 29 — Tori L. Zaborowski, 30, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors theft and use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said she left Walmart with $156 worth of merchandise without paying for it and was found in possession of an empty stamp bag and various pills.
Dec. 29 — Deborah A. Hines, 47, of Butler, was charged with five counts of misdemeanor theft. Police said she took about $400 from the cash register as an employee at T.J. Maxx on multiple occasions.
Jan. 2 — Jennifer L. Thumm, 45, of New Wilmington, was charged with a misdemeanor of cashing bad checks. Police said she gave a bad check totaling $1,705 to a business and owes that business $1,723.
Jan. 3 — Sean D. Carcaise, 32, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanors of driving under the influence. Police said they stopped him Sept. 10 on New Castle Road, Butler. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Carcaise’s blood alcohol content at 0.08% with traces of THC. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Dec. 30 — Michael P. Behe, 33, of Oil City, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs. Police said he crashed his vehicle Nov. 20 on Interstate 79 in Worth Township, and that field sobriety tests showed he was impaired. Later breath tests showed Behe’s blood alcohol content at 0.128%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
