The Eat’n Park at Clearview Mall in Center Township has reopened after a person suspected of driving under the influence crashed into the building around 6 a.m. Monday, before the restaurant opened.

Employees inside the restaurant were not injured, but the driver had minor injures and was taken into custody for suspected DUI, state police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

A section of the front wall of the restaurant was damaged, and workers were busy making repairs Monday afternoon.

“The crash occurred before the restaurant opening,” said Courtney Caprara, a spokeswoman for Eat’n Park.

The restaurant did close for a short time Monday morning, but reopened before noon.

Caprara said repairs necessary to reopen the restaurant were made, and the business is open for inside dining and online ordering.
