The price of a first-class mail “forever” stamp will increase from 60 cents to 63 cents on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, when a number of other mail price increases will take effect.

The United States Postal Service filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission in October to increase prices, saying in a news release that the price adjustments provide the service “with much needed revenue to achieve the financial stability sought by its Delivering for America 10-year plan.”

The prices of the U.S. Postal Service remain among the most affordable in the world, according to the news release.

Prices will go from 60 to 63 cents for one ounce letters; from 57 to 60 cents for metered one ounce letters; from 44 to 48 cents for domestic postcards; and from $1.40 to $1.45 for international postcards and one ounce international letters.

The news release also said there will be no change to the single-piece letter and the flat additional-ounce price, which remains at 24 cents.
