Margaret “Peg” Mae Wilson, 87, of Butler, passed away at Meadow Lake Manor Personal Care Facility on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023.
Born May 28, 1935, in Toronto, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Wayne Wilkinson and Dorothy Ruth (Miller) Wilkinson.
Peg was employed at Hutchinson’s Dry Cleaners and at Mine Safety in Mars.
She was a member of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church in Butler.
She enjoyed walking her dogs and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Peg leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Herbert W. Wilson of Butler, Deborah R. Clawson of Tionesta and Cindy L. (Jay) Swigart of Butler; her grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah) Wilson, Brian (Amie) Wilson, David Wilson, Lindsay Wilson, Leah (Jay) Lassinger, Luke (Amy) Clawson and Jay D. (Samantha) Swigart III; her great-grandchildren, Cheyla, Brooklyn, Fletcher and Jase; her sister, Jean Wonner; her sister-in-law, Barb Wilkinson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Wilson; her brothers, Earl, Bill and Ray Wilkinson; and an infant sister.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Meadow Lake Manor Personal Care Home and to the staff of Amedisys Hospice Care.
WILSON — Friends of Margaret “Peg” Mae Wilson, who died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Community Wellness Center, 123 E. Diamond St., Butler, with the Rev. Beverly Banyay officiating.
Peg will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.
