Winter weather to continue into Friday
The winter weather that started earlier this week is expected to stick around into the weekend.
“Overall, when all is said and done, around an inch by (Friday) morning,” Jenna Lake of the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh said.
Scattered snow showers Thursday evening were expected to increase in intensity and were described as capable of reducing visibility to less than 3 miles, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.
Temperatures on Friday should not change much throughout the day, with a high of 30 degrees and a low of 28.
Lake said snow Friday evening could result in half an inch of snow, with Saturday bringing no precipitation.
Sunday is predicted to bring nearly a 70% chance of precipitation, but Lake said temperatures will be too high for it to turn to snow.
“Kind of a roller coaster of emotions and weather,” Lake said.
