Joyce Collins, 81, of Butler, passed away, Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, following a brief illness in the comfort of her home.

She was born May 29, 1941, in Butler, and was a daughter of the late Edgar McClafferty and Eleanor (Donahue) McClafferty.

Joyce was a 1960 graduate of Butler High School and was a homemaker and mother.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, the Ladies of All Saints Parish, the yarn spinners and the prayer tree. She was a past member of the Butler Memorial Hospital auxiliary, had enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, baking cookies and working jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond L. Collins, her high school sweetheart, whom she married on Aug. 4, 1962.

She is also survived by her children, Laurie Confer, Sue (Jeff) Carr, Michael (Ana) Collins and Christopher (Mindy) Collins; her grandchildren, Matthew (Kristina), Melissa (Joe), Megan, Selena (Will), Alex, Nick, Ethan and Sydney; her great-grandchildren, Sophie, Emma and Rosalie; and one sister, Susan Moon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Carolyn, Shirley and Nancy; and two sons-in-law, Ronald Confer and David Brown.

COLLINS — Friends of Joyce Collins, who died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. The Rev. Kevin Fazio will officiate.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
