Firefighters respond to three-alarm house fire

CLEARFIELD TWP — Multiple fire departments are responding to the scene of a three-alarm house fire at 1205 Herman Road.

The fire was first reported at around 9:45 p.m. Monday.

Within minutes of arriving to the scene, firefighters requested a second alarm, and then, quickly followed by asking for tankers from a third alarm.

Herman Volunteer Fire Company chief Rob Shuler said late Monday that the house was a total loss and one firefighter was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Le Geibel, who lives in the house, was not at home when the blaze broke out.
