Lida King
Lida Blanche King, 95, of Slippery Rock, and formerly of Grove City, passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023.
Lida was born in Bradys Bend, Armstrong County on Sept. 8, 1927, to Edward Lee Zeitler and Mabel Florence Kaylor Zeitler.
She married Wycliffe E. King on Jan. 8, 1948, in Bradys Bend, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2007.
She was a member of Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.
She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, crocheting, doing word search puzzles, and attending the Slippery Rock Senior Center for many years. Her greatest joy was her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Arner of Slippery Rock; two sons, Larry Robert (Doris) King of Pataskala, Ohio, and Dean Lee King of Slippery Rock; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Susan Irene King; three sisters, Clara (George) Wilson, Anna Mae Zeitler and Mary Alice (Daniel) Wiles; and four brothers, Joseph Leroy (Ida) Zeitler, Raymond Robert (Annabelle) Zeitler, Charles Edward Zeitler and Donald Lee (Martha) Zeitler.
KING — The family of Lida Blanche King, who died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Thursday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. William Mumaw, pastor of Center Presbyterian Church presiding.
Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park in Grove City.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Autism Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania, or Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.
