JoAnn K. Perry, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Feb. 5, 2023.

She was a 1953 graduate of Donora High School, where she met “the love of her life,” James A. Perry, her husband of 67 years.

JoAnn was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

Born on March 20, 1935, to Scottish parents, James and Marie Corstorphine, JoAnn was extremely proud of her Scottish heritage and was always uplifted by the music of bagpipes.

A passionate high school cheerleader, JoAnn loved to cheer at events for her children and grandchildren, stating, “once a cheerleader, always a cheerleader!”

JoAnn was a loving, kind, caring and generous soul who loved her family more than anything. She cherished family gatherings, where she spread her love to the entire family. A devoted housewife, JoAnn took tremendous pride in her home, keeping it immaculate for family and friends.

She loved the time spent with her best friends, Judy, Virginia and Marianne, who were in bridge clubs and a bowling league together and always enjoyed their vacations to Hilton Head, S.C.

JoAnn was preceded in passing by her mother and father; and her sisters, Nancy Huhra and Rita Kline.

In addition to her husband, James, surviving are her children, Marcia (Roger) Stafford, Shan (Monica) Perry and Susan (Brad) Leslie; her grandchildren, Kelly Stafford, Chelsea and Zane Perry, and Sarah and David Leslie; along with several nieces and nephews.

PERRY — Family and friends of JoAnn K. Perry, who died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, are invited to a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler.

Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Butler.

Arrangements are being handled by GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
