A man was reported struck by a vehicle Wednesday, Feb. 8, near 503 W. Jefferson St.

The call came into the emergency dispatch center around 10:19 p.m.

According to Randy Lesseski, who lives nearby and was a witness at the scene, he heard the crash and came down to see what had happened and to help.

Another witness, Jennifer Sipe, who also lives nearby, called 911 and reported the man was hit by a vehicle.

They saw a man lying in the street near the Sunoco Gas station. The man was injured but responsive, Lesseski said.

The man was transported by Butler Ambulance Service for medical treatment.

Butler City police and Butler Bureau of Fire responded to the scene.
