Pa. Broadband Development Authority seeks feedback on program guidelines
The Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority is seeking input related to the Pennsylvania Broadband Infrastructure Program guidelines by Feb. 23.
Equipped with $200 million in grant funding, the program targets locations in the state that do not have access to reliable internet service.
Brandon Carson, the authority’s executive director, said feedback is needed from residents about the definition of affordable service, match requirements and the challenge period.
“The authority is excited to help bring high-speed internet access to Pennsylvanians,” he said. “This crucial federal funding will help us close the digital divide in the Commonwealth. That’s why it’s important for Pennsylvanians to provide feedback on this new program so that our investments are as impactful as possible.”
