Clay Township is asking for help from the county and state Game Commission, as multiple dams have saturated the aptly named Beaver Dam Road and are cause rising waters that threaten to flood the basements of nearby homes.
Beachem reports that one dam is 700 feet wide, while another measures 400 feet. The township does not have the funds or equipment to rectify the problem, he said.
Muddy Creek is the main feeder waterway for Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park, Beachem said.
