Butler Eagle announces its February “Pets of the Month”
The Butler Eagle is proud to partner with the Butler County Humane Society to bring you the “Pets of the Month,” showcasing two of the wonderful pets up for adoption at their facility.
Take a look at your February pets of the month below.
Humphrey is a 6-year-old hound mix that is a bundle of joy and love. When he first arrived at the humane society, Humphrey was underweight, very skittish and had almost no interest in playing with toys. After a few months with the staff, this hound has come right out of his shell and radiates confidence and energy.
He loves to play with tennis balls, enjoys sniffing almost anything he can find on walks and even knows how to ‘sit’ and ‘give paw.’ His favorite thing to do, though, is to give the staff hugs. He’s come a long way since his first days at the shelter and is ready to find his forever home.
Humphrey would do best in a home without other cats or dogs and would do best with older children.
Cutie is exactly what his name entails: a cutie. Sweet and loving, Cutie is a three-year-old short hair who loves spending his time being pet and lounging around on various surfaces within the cat room at the shelter. Cutie loves his catnip toys, especially rolling around in them, and is very vocal. He will surely hold a conversation with you.
As Cutie resides in the cat room at the humane society, he would do very well in a home with other cats. It is unknown if he would do well in a home with dogs, and it is recommended that he goes to a home that has older children.
If you’re interested in adopting Humphrey, Cutie, or any of the others pets up for adoption, make sure to visit the Butler County Humane Society’s website at www.butlercountyhs.org.
